Bedtime Prayers

We pray with Archer before bedtime, and he usually chimes in "Amen"!

Tonight he started asking to pray for people.

Everytime we would say Amen he would think of someone new--it went like this:

Archer: "Gampa!" (aka Grandpa)

Daddy said a prayer for Gampa.

Archer: "Gramma!"

Daddy said a prayer for Grandma.

Archer: "Memaw!"

Daddy said a prayer for Memaw.

Archer: "Mano!"

Daddy said a prayer for Great-Grandmother.

Archer: "Daddy!"

Daddy said a prayer for Daddy.

Archer: "Baby!"

Daddy said a prayer for Elle.

Archer: "Fishy!"

Daddy said a prayer for fish and all the animals in the world.

Archer: "Mommy!"

Daddy said a prayer for Mommy--yes, Mommy came after fishy! Nice! He tried to squeeze in one last prayer for turtles, but we cut it off at that point. After all, Daddy had prayed for all the animals when Archer wanted to pray for fish!

So cute =) Claire still likes to pray for the most random stuff sometimes. Last night we prayed for cups and when I asked why she wanted to Thank God for cups she said "Because Eden likes them!" Ahhh.... the simplicity of children... we could learn a lot from those little stinkers =)

I love giving kids the freedom to pray for what they are thankful for! We have prompted Hudson with "Thank you God for....." and he fills in whatever he wants. It is hilarious part of the time, and so sweet the other part!

So sweet...and yes, mom's usually rate towards the end...I figure they are saving the best for last!
