the Van

We'd been contemplating

becoming a minivan family

for a few years, and last

Monday night took the plunge.

We are loving our '04 new to us

Honda, and the kids are too.

When we took them out to see it in the driveway,

they eagerly climbed in and Elle promptly

started jumping up and down,

shouting, "This is AWESOME, I wuv this car!"

Archer grabbed the headphones to check out

the DVD player,

and that night prayed "Thank you God

for all the cars, and especially that 'pecial van!"

I guess they were ready for a change from our

banged up car with the taped up windows:-)

It was a bittersweet moment, because that banged up

car holds many, many memories - our first

car purchase as "grown ups" and together,

hauling around our Athena,Jay,Frankie,and Wulfy

all at once,

driving away from our wedding,

bringing home both babies from the hospital,

and many, many more.

We took our first ride as a family in it to

RaisingCanes, and parked in the parking lot

to eat in the car, and watch the ValentinesMadagascar

movie.

Such fun!
