It's his age. Landry started doing that about a month ago. It lasted for 2 weeks straight, then started tappering off. Don't worry, it's completely normal. He'll be past it before you know it!
This happened with Claire too but we had just put her in a big girl bed (2.5 years). Bedtime was a battle but we just had to be consistant with telling her what was expected, etc. We also did a sticker calendar so that she knew she'd earn something special if she did well.
oh, does actually say he's scared? We started leaving a light on in the bathroom (she didn't like the night light) and leaving her door cracked when we usually shut it all the way. We also have to have the closet door closed... OCD? a little =)
I'm blessed to be Dan's wife (10 years) and mommy to my sweet little zoo (Archer age 6, Elleana age 4). I'm learning each day the value in choosing joy, showing gratitude, and dwelling in God's peace. Feel free to contact me at: mommy koala at live dot com.

It's a phase. We went through it. Hopefully it ends soon for you!
Thanks for all the suggestions/comments.
We are still working through this phase--some nights are better than others!
Landry started doing it again tonight! ARGH!
