Yesterday we didn't do anything particularly Valentine-y.
I had plans to bake a pink cake,
and possibly attempt cake pops for the first time.
It didn't happen,
yet there were many simple moments that made my heart smile -here are several.

- Hearing the LOUD giggles outside my office window, before I was off work. Daddy was home and wrestling with the kiddos in the front yard.
- A Godiva chocolate bar from my thoughtful Grandmother.
- Happy Valentines Day texts from Athena, Mom, and Kim.
- Seeing Archer offer his biggest clam (he LOVES them) to his Daddy at dinner. Love his sweet generous spirit.
- Watching Elle joyfully spin and sing to the Yodeling song on the Sound of Music.
- Watching Dan smile as he watched Elle spin and sing.
- Watching Grandma (Dan's mom) smile as she watched Elle spin and sing.
- Hearing Archer tell bedtime stories (detailed!) to Elle - including the 3 little pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, and some that he made up involving dinosaurs.
- Photos via text of my new great nephew.
- Sharing chocolate candy hearts with the kiddos - and making up stories involving Valentine candy.
