Baby Piggy

We were blessed to find out

this month that

Athena and Drew are expecting!

She is due toward the end of June.

When she shared the news with the family,

Elle walked up to me (after seeing the ultrasound photo)

and told me, "Nana is going to have a baby piggy!"

Thus our great niece or nephew was given their very first

nickname by their cousin Elle:-)

We are looking forward to baby piggy's arrival!

I expect Archer and Elle may have some jealousy issues

as they don't like to share their "nana" and "drudru."

Archer might just surprise me though - he has

already told Nana that he wants to help with the baby,

but he also threw in that he DOES NOT

want to change diapers!

Being a great aunt (already to sweet Jaxon, Ashlee's son -

and now to baby piggy), does make me feel kind of old!

I am so very blessed, though, to have had the privilege

of being an aunt (at age 12!) before becoming a mama -

it gave me a glimpse into motherhood-

and taught me that it would be hard,

but oh, so good.
