Lovelies

Love this picture taken today.

Some other lovelies lately:

1. that we live in a "town" small enough that Santa rides through the neighborhood on top of the fire truck, and the firemen hand out candy (a fun surprise on Saturday!)
2. that my little guy declared he was painting wings (using a wooden spoon) on his transformer, so the transformer could fly--shortly after I heard him proclaim "Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue!"
3. that his little sister grabbed the other transformer and while "flying" it said Rescue!
4. that Archer asked me if we were going to have cake on Jesus' birthday...we never have, but you better believe we are starting this tradition - as he suggested!
5. My Grandmother's hot cocoa - hands down the best ever
6. A dinner date with Dan - and Athena and Drew who babysat
   
7. shopping with Athena for our Angel from the angel tree
8. Consciously not getting caught up in the holiday hustle and bustle (still feeling festive, but not letting myself get stressed like I normally do) - even though this means Christmas decorations are severely lacking in our house
9. Going to 2nd service at church, and seeing so many who mean so much to me
10. The random Christmas carols sung by Archer and Elle all throughout the day
11. Grandparents on either side of us

There are many more I could mention, but lest you think it is all lovelies around here - we have our share of timeouts, cranky babies swatting at mama (especially because we are reducing the # of times she gets the bottle!), doggies knocking over the trash can and more - but I'm choosing to list out the lovelies - instead of the not so lovelies:-)
