- we hosted at our house, and turned our living room into a dining room-worked beautifully
- festivities included watching Archer E. eat artichokes and olives--his favorite? the olives! Can you be addicted to olives? If so Archer is, but I try to only give him a couple of bites--those things are loaded with salt!
- other festivities? Archery in the backyard, with the bow Dan made. Fun times!
- even more fesitivites? a lively game of apples to apples, and some serious black friday strategy sessions
- Goodies? 2 turkeys (one smoked, one Dan made), sausage stuffing, marinated olives and artichokes, artichoke salad, 2 types of mashed tates (my mom's and athena's), and tons of delicous desserts (courtesy of mom and grandmother)
- The company? Me, Dan, Archer....Grandma and Grandpa Richardson, Memaw and Grandmother, Aunt Jeanne, Cousins Jay, Frankie, and Athena, and the newest (almost) family member Drew (athena's fiance)
Overall, one the best Thanksgiving celebrations in recent memory. It felt like a perfect day. We stayed up late and did most prep Wednesday night, so lunch was served right on time--and everything was hot and ready at the same time.
We have SO much to be thankful for, and this day was a perfect time to reflect on our RichBlessings.
I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. Psalm 69:30
